You Are Special To God
Reverend Peter Mbugua | 30 April 2023
We were blessed to have Reverend Peter Mbugua from Church of Restoration as our guest speaker this past Sunday. He delivered a powerful sermon on the value of human beings before God, reminding us that we are each uniquely special and valuable in God's eyes.
Reverend Mbugua began his message by referencing Psalms 8:4-5, which speaks of how God has made man a little lower than the angels and crowned him with glory and honor. He went on to explain how this passage shows how highly God values human beings, despite our flaws and imperfections.
He then shared the story of Genesis, and how God created man differently from other things. While God created land and sea with the potential to create other things, like birds and vegetation, man was created through God's hands and breath. This, Reverend Mbugua said, shows how God views us as unique and special in His eyes.
Reverend Mbugua also spoke about how God's presence can bring life and growth to even the most barren and lifeless situations. He referenced Numbers 17:7-8, which tells the story of how God caused a previously dead staff to sprout, bud, and blossom overnight. This, he explained, shows how powerful and transformative God's presence can be in our lives.
Additionally, Reverend Mbugua spoke about how Mary conceived through the power of God's presence through the Holy Spirit. He encouraged us to seek out opportunities to be in God's presence and allow it to conceive holy things within us.
Reverend Mbugua reminded us that being in God's presence is not just about receiving blessings and favors, but about experiencing the fullness of life that God has intended for us. He spoke about the importance of fasting and fellowship as a way to be in the presence of God, and encouraged us to make time for prayer and meditation.
The message was uplifting and inspiring, and Reverend Mbugua left us with a deeper appreciation for our worth in God's eyes. We invite you to listen to this week's episode and experience for yourself the powerful message of "You Are Special To God".
We hope that this message will encourage you to see yourself as God sees you: unique, valuable, and deeply loved. We invite you to join us for our next service, as we continue to explore the transformative power of God's presence in our lives.
